I was a “Mad Men” woman for 15 years. I worked in global ad agencies around the world as a creative director. London, Amsterdam, Munich, PragueSão Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and now New York. Check some of my work here.

Working in big advertising agencies for so many years, I learned how to make brands famous, and also how to navigate the minds of all types of consumers. I realized that communicating it’s not only about giving information about your brand. It’s actually about inspiring them, exciting them, turning them on to new ways of seeing themselves and the world. Most specifically, it’s about speaking in a language they feel completely understood. 

The fascinating world of global advertising

From big board meetings with 50 people trying to fix a Super Bowl commercial of a multiple billion dollar account, to working till 3am with my team on an new business pitch, I learned a lot about what works and what doesn’t in terms of creating audacious, attractive, provocative, magnetizing, captivating, tantalizing Ad Campaigns.

Or "how to grab them by the balls - willingly". 

I literally sat on the floor of a London global agency with my then boss, an mega icon in
the ad business, as we frantically wrote headlines for an ad that I had just sketched—which became “THE” ad that originated "THE" campaign, that sold millions and went on to win international awards. 

Advertising became my second skin.

Working in such huge companies I couldn’t help but see what didn’t work. What I’d do differently. Usually when a process is repeated for so many years, it’s no longer questioned - even when it no longer brings the best results.

Inside the mad race between Good vs. Great. 

And believe me, not everything in this scenario is clear, fair, congruent and why not to say, ethic. From the outside, the ad business may look glamorous, profitable, luxurious and exciting. But a lot goes on that (of course) is invisible from the outside. 

I was creating award-winning work for brands I would never, use myself. Something was really wrong with that scenario.

Worse. It started dawning one me that we’d spend hundreds of hours—and millions, billions of dollars, launching, promoting and selling products that aren’t good for people, for their health, for their minds, for the planet. Products in fact that would make them sick, and I mean very sick.

I was no longer the devil’s advocate.

I was the devil.

Time had come. I had learned the craft and it was time to take the next step. They say when the student is ready the book falls on his head? The fact is that I started being approached by friends and friends of friends who were launching their own companies - which had a more purposeful approach. And I realized there was a whole new layer of clients I wasn’t - until then - aware of. 

I started having my own direct clients on the side. I begun creating name and fame for some medium sized companies that had a passion, a drive, a sustainable mind-set, a great reason for being. 


Brands on purpose.

Eventually I left the agency world and started promoting businesses that have something passionate to say. Products that are innovative, leading edge, with conscious intensions. Brands that I could - and did - fall in love with.

A platform for millennials to lead the world by example. A sustainable and environment-friendly, natural anti-age cream. A music label with an new approach to selling music. A dating app for conscious people with a twist. An organic and raw line of un-make up products. 

The Science of Branding was born.

And because I developed most of these brands from the ground up, besides their Ad Campaign, I started developing their business direction, monetization plan, I developed a side I've always obsessed about: STRATEGY.
